Yuzu is a type of citrus that originated in Southeast Asia, thought to be a hybrid of sour mandarin and Ichang papeda. It is similar in shape to a grapefruit, but with a distinctly aromatic zest and tart juice. They are highly prized in Japanese cuisine and an essential ingredient to ponzu sauce. Our yuzu were cultivated in California.
